More than 60 racing and rally cars and several motorcycles gathered in the heart of Warsaw near the Theatre Square and the Pilsudski Square. VERVA Street Racing is the first Polish city race held at the track temporarily constructed in the city center. Thus, Warsaw officially joined the elite group of cities such as Rotterdam and Moscow, where similar events have been arranged for many years. 

 

Krolewska, Foch, Moliere, Senatorska and Wierzbowa Streets turned into a real street circuit with a length of over 2 kilometres. The famous teams that participated in the race were among others BMW Team RBM with the winner of 15 races WTCC Augusto Farfus, Motopark Academy which on every day basis is participating in a series of knockout ATS Formula 3 Cup, and X-raid team with Guerlain Chicherit rivalling in the cross country rallies. The host of the VERVA Street Racing was VERVA Racing Team. This team for the first time in history represented white and red colours in the prestigious Porsche Supercup Race being played on the weekends of Grand Prix Formula 1. ORLEN Team turned up in full complement and Krzysztof Holowczyc presented his new rally car BMW X3 CC, with which he will participate in the Dakar 2011 Rally. 

 

VERVA Street Racing was a huge logistical, organizational and promotional undertaking. The area around the Pilsudski Square and the Theatre Square turned into in a racing town within 9 days. The audience had at its disposal TV screens, stands with over 8.000 seats, catering zones, children’s sectors and gadget shops.

 

The event was visited and watched by 75.000 spectators live and by nearly 4.5 million on television.
